Just When You Thought…
There are moments in this journey—this calling of coaching, consulting, and mentoring—when you quietly ask yourself, “Is this really making a difference?”
You show up.
You prepare.
You pour.
You guide.
You invest.
You do your best to empower others, providing them with the resources, strategies, and support they need to grow.
And yet… there are times when it feels like it’s not enough.
As a coach, consultant, and mentor, the work is deeply rewarding—but it can also be emotionally taxing. Because when you are committed to developing people, you carry the weight of wanting to see them succeed. And when the results aren’t always visible, doubt can try to creep in.
But just when you thought…
God reminds you.
He sends confirmation in ways you didn’t expect.
Today, my “ram in the bush” appeared.
A young woman from my Next Level Now Coaching Program (Summer 2025) scheduled one of the 30-minute Empowerment Mentoring sessions that participants have access to. What I thought would be a simple check-in turned into something much greater.
She shared with me that she has worked with therapists, mentors, and other life coaches—but none had impacted her life the way I have.
Let that sit for a moment.
In a season where I questioned whether I was truly making a difference, God sent a reminder—not through numbers, not through applause, but through impact.
Through one life.
One conversation.
One transformation.
One testimony.
And in that moment, she didn’t just receive empowerment—she gave it.
She reminded me to keep going.
She encouraged me not to give up.
Because sometimes, even the coach needs coaching.
Even the mentor needs mentoring.
Even the one who pours out needs to be poured into.
And that’s the beauty of purpose-driven work—it’s never one-sided. It flows.
Mentoring, especially, is not always about immediate results. It’s about planting seeds, nurturing growth, and trusting that what you’ve deposited will take root in due time. Sometimes you won’t see the harvest right away—but that doesn’t mean it isn’t growing.
So if you are in a place where you feel like what you’re doing doesn’t matter…
If you’re showing up and wondering if anyone is truly being impacted…
If you’re pouring into others through coaching, consulting, or mentoring and feeling unseen…
If you’re on the verge of questioning your assignment…
Let me remind you:
You are making more of a difference than you realize.
God sees what you can’t always see.
Seeds are growing beneath the surface.
Lives are shifting in ways you may never fully know.
And just when you think it’s not working…
God will send your ram in the bush.
So don’t stop.
Don’t shrink.
Don’t second-guess your calling.
Keep showing up.
Keep pouring out.
Keep mentoring.
Keep walking in purpose.
Because impact isn’t always immediate—but it is always intentional.
