Just When You Thought…

Image
There are moments in this journey—this calling of coaching, consulting, and mentoring—when you quietly ask yourself, “Is this really making a difference?” You show up. You prepare. You pour. You guide. You invest. You do your best to empower others, providing them with the resources, strategies, and support they need to grow. And yet… there are times when it feels like it’s not enough. As a coach, consultant, and mentor, the work is deeply rewarding—but it can also be emotionally taxing. Because when you are committed to developing people, you carry the weight of wanting to see them succeed. And when the results aren’t always visible, doubt can try to creep in. But just when you thought… God reminds you. He sends confirmation in ways you didn’t expect. Today, my “ram in the bush” appeared. A young woman from my Next Level Now Coaching Program (Summer 2025) scheduled one of the 30-minute Empowerment Mentoring sessions that participants have access to. What I thought would be a sim...

Consistency Builds Results

Image
Perfection is often the enemy of progress. The empowered woman understands that lasting success is not built through flawless execution, but through consistent commitment. I remember at the beginning of January 2025, my coach continually reminded me that consistency matters . As I balanced my 9-to-5, I made a conscious decision to focus on one activity I could do consistently to grow my business. I committed to recording and scheduling my YouTube shows each week. Even when life and work became busy, that consistency allowed me to end the year with 22 weeks of content on my YouTube channel. (You’re welcome to check it out— DrChavonneDStewart —and subscribe.) As a result, I gained new clients and expanded my reach. This experience reinforced a powerful lesson: showing up regularly—especially in small, intentional ways—creates momentum and strengthens confidence over time. Consistency may seem simple, but its impact is undeniable. Consistency builds trust: trust in yourself, trust in the ...

Protect Your Focus

Image
Not every opportunity is your assignment, and not every invitation deserves your yes. With each passing day, I am learning the power of saying “no.” The empowered woman understands that focus is not accidental—it is intentional and disciplined. In a world filled with noise, endless options, and constant demands, protecting your focus is an act of leadership. If your desire is to start a business, you must intentionally dedicate time to building that vision. That requires honestly evaluating how you allocate your time and energy. What needs to be removed from your to-do list because it no longer aligns with where you are headed? For me, 2026 is about paying close attention to how many weekends I give to other people’s visions instead of nurturing my own—whether in ministry or in the marketplace. My desire is to walk fully in both entrepreneurship and ministry, and that will require greater intentionality and stronger boundaries. Saying no more often is not about lack of commitment—it’s ...

Clarity Over Pressure

Image
Pressure has a way of pushing us to move before we are ready—urging us to act, decide, and produce simply because everyone else is moving, often ahead of God’s timing. But the empowered woman understands that clarity must come before momentum. When you are clear about your assignment, there is no need to rush or prove anything. I remember making a conscious decision to remain focused on the prayer ministry God entrusted to me. I was intentional about growing in Him, knowing that as my intimacy with God deepened, so would my grace to intercede. I am a living witness that it has. As I stepped into consulting and serving as a next-level architect, I also discovered a deep passion for women 40 and older. I understand what it feels like to navigate a career transition while returning to school at the same time. Yes, I went back to earn my doctorate—but that journey began long before then. It was a dream planted nearly 20 years ago, when I first made the decision to return to school an...

Start With Intention

Image
January has a way of pressuring us to move fast—to set big goals, make bold declarations, and fill our calendars before we’ve taken time to breathe. But the empowered woman understands that momentum without meaning leads to burnout . This season is not about rushing into everything; it’s about starting with intention .   Intention requires clarity. Before saying yes to new opportunities or responsibilities, pause and discern what truly aligns with your purpose. Ask yourself: What is the assignment on my life for this season—not for everyone else, but for me? This is the moment to quiet the noise, focus, and tune in to what God is saying. Because of your gifts, talents, and skill set, many people will seek access to you. That is why intentionality is essential. Stay anchored in your purpose and passion. When your focus is clear, your energy is stewarded well, and your decisions are made with confidence and peace. And remember—it is okay to say no. Or, as my friend would...

The Rise of the Unintentional Entrepreneur: From Side Hustle to CEO: Building a Business You Didn’t Plan For

The Rise of the Unintentional Entrepreneur From Side Hustle to CEO: Building a Business You Didn’t Plan For Not every entrepreneur starts with a business plan, a website, or even the desire to become a CEO. For many women, entrepreneurship wasn’t the original dream—it was the doorway. What began as a passion project, a creative outlet, or a way to make ends meet unexpectedly evolved into something more. Welcome to the world of the unintentional entrepreneur. Maybe it started with baking for friends, sharing tips on social media, or consulting on the side. What once felt small has now become a movement, a mission, and a meaningful stream of income. I can relate—my coaching journey began when I helped a friend pursue her dreams. At the time, I didn’t realize I was coaching, and I certainly didn’t envision it becoming a career. But I’ve always had a heart for encouraging and empowering others to walk in purpose. That experience revealed something important: passion alone isn’t enough. Wit...

Spring into Leadership: Growth, Consistency, and Persistence

Image
Spring is a season of renewal, transformation, and boundless opportunity—much like the journey of leadership. Just as nature awakens with fresh blooms and new life , so too can leaders embrace growth, plant the seeds of their dreams, and nurture them into something extraordinary. Planting Seeds of Leadership Growth Spring reminds us that every great achievement begins with a single seed. Whether it’s a bold idea, a new role, or a passion waiting to be pursued, growth starts with the courage to plant and nurture those dreams.nIn my own leadership journey, I’ve learned that persistence is key. I remember a time when I doubted my ability to lead. I had the vision but lacked the confidence. However, I chose to water that seed—through learning, mentorship, and stepping up despite my fears. With time, what once felt like an impossible aspiration flourished into a reality. Lesson: Leadership isn’t about having it all figured out—it’s about taking that first step and tending to your growth ev...
